Date Night with PrettyLittleThing (Valentines 2019)

Before I begin, I want to express my gratitude and elation to PrettyLittleThing for asking me to take part in their Valentines campaign. I am aware that this sounds about as cliché as it gets, but it's a dream come true for me.

In this post, I'm going to show you how I styled three outfits from the PrettyLittleThing Valentines Shop. Those of you who know me will be aware that I love all things glam, so I was in my element while styling these outfits and shooting the photos. I can truthfully say that I've never received as many compliments as I did while wearing these outfits, nor have I ever felt so confident in myself. Grab your favourite red lipstick and prepare yourself to look sensational in these three outfits that I have styled.

For reference, I'm 5'10", and I normally wear dresses and tops in size 8, and trousers and jeans in size 6. In regards to footwear, I tend to go for size 7 in open-toe styles and size 8 in closed-toe styles.

I can't resist an elegant, classy dress, so the moment that I laid eyes on the PLT Mairee Black Satin Midi Pleated Dress, I knew that I had to style it as one of my outfits. I adore everything about this dress, from the flouncy sleeves to the pleated midi skirt. I couldn't stop twirling around in it! I'm aware that not everyone is comfortable with a plunging neckline, but don't let that put you off this dress. I layered the PLT Archa Black Lace Panelled Thong Bodysuit underneath, and I found that it complemented the dress immensely. I've wanted a lace bodysuit for quite a while, but I found it rather difficult to find one that was well lined, had a little bit of structure, and without an overly plunging neckline.

I completed this outfit with the PLT Veronica Black Oversized Waterfall Belt Coat. This coat is beautifully stylish and because it is oversized, it enables you to wrap it all the way around on chilly nights, but it is also extremely flattering when left open or belted looser. It also has super deep pockets - perfect for keeping your hands nice and warm!

I chose the dress in size 8, and it's absolutely perfect. If you have a slightly larger bust, I would recommend sizing up because of the wrap-style top. I chose the bodysuit in size 8, and it fits perfectly. If you are in between sizes as I find I sometimes am, I would recommend sizing down because I found the fabric to be extremely stretchy for ultimate comfort. In saying that, I could have chosen either size 6 or 8, and either would be a perfect fit. The coat is One Size, but I found that although it's tailored to fit all sizes, it doesn't swamp a smaller frame either.

I've been searching for a long-sleeved lace midi dress for quite some time now, but every time I came across one, there was always something that I just didn't like about it... until I laid eyes on the PLT Caris Dusty Blue Long Sleeve Lace Bodycon Dress. This gorgeous dusty blue dress is dreamy. Again, I knew that I had to style it as one of my outfits. I simply adore the colour of this dress, and I feel that it goes with virtually everything. It's extremely comfortable as the material has a nice stretch. I adore the mesh panel at the waist, the detailing around the neckline, cuffs, and hem, the rear split... and basically every other elegant feature this dress has to offer.

Again, I completed this outfit with the PLT Veronica Black Oversized Waterfall Belt Coat. I can't emphasize enough how versatile this coat is, it really does go with everything!

I chose the dress in size 8, and it fits like a glove. Although it is bodycon, it has the perfect amount of stretch, so I would recommend taking your normal size.

I'm aware that not everyone's taste favours excessively glamorous styles, so I wanted the final outfit that I styled to have more of a simple feel. To fit the 'relaxed yet eye-catching' style, I chose the PLT Flora Black Frill Front Shirt Dress. As of lately, I have become obsessed with frills, and because this outfit has slightly more laid-back vibes, I couldn't but dress it up a little by incorporating a frill... or two. This shirt dress is extremely comfortable and flattering, and it's so easy to dress up or down to suit your personal style and the occasion, so you'll be able to get plenty wear out of it as both a day and night piece. Although not necessary, I wore black leggings underneath as it was quite chilly. Black tights or black faux leather leggings would also look great, while keeping you cosy at the same time.

Love them or loathe them, thigh-high boots are in, and they're everywhere. I fell in love with this style of boot last winter, but I found it near impossible to find a pair that was actually long enough for me as the majority ended up being more knee-high than thigh-high. Every pair that I found that were long enough, were excessively wide for my legs. Hence, they just wouldn't stay in place, and often ended halfway down my shins after a mere few steps. It was extremely frustrating, so I gave up on my search for the perfect thigh-high boot... until I came across the PLT Bess Black Faux Suede Heel Thigh High Boots. I am aware that I have said the same thing about practically every single piece that I have featured in this blog post, but these boots are the dream. I find them extremely comfortable and stylish - obsessed!

As was the case for both of the former outfits that I styled, I layered the PLT Veronica Black Oversized Waterfall Belt Coat over my third and final dress. If this doesn't prove how versatile this coat is, I'm not sure what will!

I chose the dress in size 8, and it's a perfect fit. If you would rather the sleeves slightly more oversized, you could definitely size up, too. I chose the boots in size 8, and they're an extremely comfortable fit.

As you may have observed, I wore a pair of block heel sandals that I had purchased previously with the first two dresses that I styled. These are not a product of PrettyLittleThing, but I came across the PLT May Black Faux Suede Block Heeled Sandals, a stunning pair of black faux suede sandals that are a rather similar style to mine. If you wish to purchase them, I have linked them below.

I also paired a black bag with these outfits, which I had purchased previously. It is not a product of PrettyLittleThing, but I have linked the PLT Christah Black Faux Fur Chain Shoulder Bag, a gorgeous statement bag that would compliment all three of these outfits beautifully.

I am aware that thigh-high boots may not be for everyone, so I have also linked the PLT Behati Black Faux Suede Ankle Boots as an equally stunning alternative.

And there you have it! Three outfits styled by myself in collaboration with PrettyLittleThing. I trust that you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed creating it. I also hope that I've assisted you if you're faced with the dilemma of not knowing what to wear on a date night this Valentines.
