Steal My Style - Flowy Summer Dress
Going to Kildare Village while wearing an outfit that I haven't worn before, taking lots of photos, and writing a Steal My Style post afterwards is becoming quite a habit for me, hasn't it? Of course, I'm not complaining - I simply love shopping trips to the Village. As I do with all of my Steal My Style posts (which you can find here), I will break this outfit down, and if a piece is no longer available, I will try my best to find an affordable lookalike.
The day I wore this outfit, it was very hot, and I knew it would be, so I chose my dress accordingly. Why? Because it is super lightweight, loose, and flowy. In my opinion, there's nothing worse than something fitted that just sticks to you in the heat. I've had this Red Herring dress for a few years, and it's just been sitting in my wardrobe. This summer, I've been trying to wear clothes that I've bought and never worn, so this was a perfect opportunity. This dress from Dorothy Perkins is very similar to mine, other than the fact that my dress is orange, has capped petal sleeves, a higher neckline, and a small cutout and button detail on the back.

These heels, as I have mentioned before, were definitely a good buy considering the amount of wear I get out of them. Because I have them in both black and mink, they go with everything and dress my outfits up a little. They are no longer available, so I have found a fab pair of kitten heeled sandals as an affordable lookalike. I chose this specific pair because the lower heel will be much more comfortable and practical to wear for a long period of time. After all, swollen feet are not uncommon in the heat of summer, especially when wearing heels. These heels are the perfect combination of comfort and style.

Understandably, after a while, my feet really began to ache from both being swollen from the heat and my heels, so I slipped into my super comfortable Dune loafers which I have featured quite a lot recently (you can read about them here). I would really recommend investing in a pair of good quality, genuine leather loafers as I have done as they go with almost everything and are super practical and comfortable.

Anyone that knows me knows that I have a lot of handbags. Kate Spade's designs are definitely one of my favourites. They are simple, classy, and elegant - a little piece of luxury at an affordable price. This particular style is the 'Cameron Street Clarice Crossbody'. I love everything about it - from the saffiano leather to the 14 karat gold plated hardware - everything's just so gorgeous. I am aware that it might be out of a lot of budgets, so I have linked both my bag and an affordable lookalike.

Although it is not pictured, I wore a cropped white cardigan in the early morning and evening when it was cooler. I have a few nice lightweight cardigans in my wardrobe to wear with my dresses in the spring and summer when it's too cold to have bare arms, but too hot to wear a jacket. I like to invest in these, and buy a wool such as merino or cashmere because they wear much better than synthetic fibres. I buy a lot of my cardigans from Gap as I find the quality to be good and the prices to be very reasonable. I have linked a very affordable merino wool-blend cardigan that I found in the Gap sale below.
