Steal My Style - Bodycon Midi Dress

I'm loving the little bit of good weather that we've been having lately. I love the days that are warm, but not too hot, so this weather is perfect. Of course, warmer weather means more outfit opportunities and being able to wear pieces that I haven't yet worn - prepare yourself for a lot more Steal My Style posts! As I do with all of my Steal My Style posts (which you can find here), I will break this outfit down, and if a piece is no longer available, I will try my best to find an affordable lookalike.

I picked this Dorothy Perkins denim jacket reduced from €45 to €15 about two years ago. I've gotten a lot of wear out of it because it's such a versatile shade of denim. There is a bit of grinding which I normally wouldn't be a fan of, but I feel that it actually adds such a nice finishing touch to this jacket. When I bought my jacket, I sized up and got a 10 because it's a regular fit and most denim jackets have little to no stretch. The new style, however, is an oversized fit, so I would think that your normal size would be perfect.

Last September I wrote a Budget Bargains blog post about this dress that I had picked up in the Swamp sale for a fiver. This was the first opportunity I had to wear it, and love it so much. The lace-up detail gives it its own unique twist. This dress is no longer available, but I have found an identical one on Boohoo that's currently half price (hurry, there's very low stock).

These Adidas trainers got a blog post of their own back in August which you can read here, so I'm sure that you can tell how much I love them. They're super comfortable and just my dream trainers in general. Unfortunately, they are no longer available, so I have linked a fab new style instead.

This Kate Spade backpack is another piece influenced by my mom (thanks mom!). Personally, backpacks are not really my style, but my mom really liked it, so I bought it in advance for college as it's an ideal size - not too small and not too big. Fast forward quite a while, and I've grown to really love it. I decided to give it its debut with my loafers because they matched so perfectly. I've also learnt that if my mom likes something and I'm unsure about it, I should just buy it because I will end up loving it. Because I've had this bag for so long without wearing it, it is no longer available in black, but there is almondine option that is currently reduced to just over €200. I will link both this and an affordable black lookalike.

Ray-Ban definitely has to be one of the most well-known high-end sunglasses brands available. I know that it might sound outrageous to some to be spending a few hundred on sunglasses considering that us Irish don't see the sun very often, but I view them as a wise investment. Cheap sunglasses usually have little to no UV protection, so for your health's sake, investing in a good quality pair is definitely worth it. There are so many options when it comes to Ray-Ban sunglasses, but I chose the 'Original Wayfarer Classic' in black with the classic green lenses. For an additional €50, I got the polarized lenses, which will more or less eliminate glare and drastically increase clarity. I wouldn't recommend ordering sunglasses online as you really need to try them on to ensure that they suit your face shape and compliment your features. Instead, I would highly recommend Vision Express for both prescription glasses and sunglasses as they have a huge selection of both affordable and designer eyewear and they are so helpful and knowledgeable.

You may remember that recently I collaborated with Welly Merck, a Swiss luxury watch brand. I wrote a really detailed post on their watches as part of my collaboration, which you can read here. There are so many details about Welly Merck watches that I love, and one of them is how easy it is to customize them. For this outfit, I chose to wear my black croc-textured leather watch strap to match my loafers and backpack. This strap is genuine leather, and really durable. I feel that a complementing watch really completes any outfit, which is why I love having a variety of straps to compliment everything in my wardrobe.
