Budget Bargains - Dorothy Perkins Tailored Fit Button Blazer
A good blazer is one of those pieces that can instantly smarten up your outfit if worn right. I had been looking for a nice, good fitting blazer so I obviously snapped up this deep purple blazer from Dorothy Perkins as soon as I saw it.
There are a few things that I love about this specific blazer. Firstly, it's my favourite colour which alone justified my purchase. Secondly, it looks, fits, and feels like a regular, good quality blazer, but I did notice that it's also slightly stretchy. The stretch, albeit subtle, is definitely noticeable. Thirdly, the fit is so neat and flattering that I honestly can't fault it. And reduced from €45 to €13, how can you go wrong?
There are so many ways to wear a blazer because they are so versatile. Personally, I would wear it both casually and not-so-casually. Pair it with a statement tee tucked in, skinny jeans, and your favourite trainers and you have effortlessly achieved a chic, everyday look. I also think it would be amazing with a black bodysuit, black faux leather trousers, and black heels for a dressier look. If your workplace doesn't have a black-only dress code, it would also be perfect for workwear. Didn't I tell you the possibilities were endless?
Unfortunately, there is a very limited stock of this blazer online, but it is still available in some stores. In regards to size, usually I would size up in outerwear and go for a size 10 so I have a little more room as my shoulders are rather broad, but I purchased this blazer in a size 8, and it's perfect.
