Luvenesco Retinol Hydrating Cream

First of all, I would like to say a huge thank you to Luvenesco for sending me their Retinol Hydrating Cream to try out. For those of you who don't know, Luvenesco is a company who make men's grooming products. As well as a wide variety of beard (and moustache) products, they also do a unisex hydrating cream which, in my opinion, is pretty amazing.

One rule that I have set for myself when it comes to my blog is that I want to stay 100% true to myself, which means that I would not accept any company's offer if it was not something that I would personally buy, no matter how amazing or enticing the opportunity is. When doing research on this moisturizer before accepting the offer presented to me, 'natural' was the word that completely sold it to me. As I am sure I have mentioned in previous blog posts, I have particularly sensitive skin, which is why all-natural brands such as Luvenesco are my personal favourites.

This cruelty-free hydrating cream contains active retinol which is said to fight signs of ageing and ripens pores, stimulating the production of new cells, leaving your skin silky smooth, supple and vivid. It also helps reduce spots and promote the healing of blemish scars. The age-fighting properties can assist in diminishing many signs of ageing, such as wrinkles, fine lines, and uneven skin tone. Something I love about natural products is that they're packed with natural goodness and antioxidants. This particular moisturizer contains retinol, as I have already mentioned, vitamin E, vitamin A, vitamin B5, jojoba oil, shea butter, aloe vera, almond oil, and sunflower seed oil, to name a few. I am by no means a skincare expert, so as always, I would recommend doing a patch test first to make sure that you aren't allergic to any of the ingredients, such as the retinol.

Swimming is by far my favourite sport, but the chlorine really irritates my skin, particularly because it is sensitive, leaving it dry, flaky/scaly (gross, I know), dull, tight, itchy, red, and just problematic in general. I apply a generous layer of this moisturizer when I get home, and when I wake the next morning, my skin is always glowy, soft, smooth, and so healthy looking. There are very few moisturizers that I have found which manage to tackle my dry, sensitive skin issues, and this is one of them. 10/10 from me!

My mom and I share everything. From handbags to skincare, there isn't anything (within reason) that we don't share. Sure, sometimes my moisturizer isn't where I left it, but I always know where to find it (my mom's dresser). The thing I love about this is that when I get samples sent to me, she tries them as well and gives her honest opinion. When I told her that Luvenesco were sending me their new moisturizer to try out, she volunteered to put it to the test too (thanks, mom!). After trying the moisturizer, she came to the same conclusion as me - she loves it!

I didn't have to weigh up the pros and cons of this moisturizer before writing this post because I just don't have any negative comments. It doesn't leave a tacky or greasy feeling on my skin and it absorbs quickly. It works out at about €20, which is a great price for such a good moisturizer. My skin is so soft and healthy looking (and feeling), I definitely have to give Luvenesco five stars for this moisturizer.
