Steal My Style - Faux Leather Midi Skirt

As I've mentioned previously, I love autumn and winter. The fashion opportunities are endless, and expressing yourself through your style becomes effortless. I am aware that to some, this outfit looks rather contradicting - a midi skirt and strappy stilettos paired with a big thick wool winter coat? Absurd, I know. But, I like it, so I just decided to go with it. Admittedly, I did get quite a few stares, mostly at my heels, but I am unsure as to whether the stares were out of envy, ridicule, or disgust (although, I would like to think it was envy). As I did with my last Steal My Style blog post (which you can find here), I will break this outfit down, and if a piece is no longer unavailable, I will try my best to find an affordable lookalike.

So let's get started. This coat. I absolutely adore it. I picked this Zara coat up a while ago, and I've already worn it more times than I can count. Although at times I am not a great Zara lover, this coat was a no-brainer. One of the many things that I love about this coat is that there are concealed zips on either side so that I can choose whether I want side splits or not. Down to my own personal style, I like how there are no big, flappy lapels, just small, tidy ones, along with the fact that there are deep pockets and discreet buttons. I bought a size medium because I like the oversized look, and so that I can wear it over chunky knits without restricting the movement of my arms or have to worry about putting pressure on the seams. There are a lot of differences between my coat and the coat below, but it is the closest lookalike I could find on the high street.

This H&M top is one I've had for a while, and I've got quite a lot of wear out of it. What I like about it is it's quite warm as it's a knit, but it's still very thin and figure-fitting. I love the femininity that the blush pink adds to the classy grey, creamy white, and black - it just goes with every outfit. It was unbelievably impossible to find a nice striped knitted top that resembled my one, so I opted for a plain pink ribbed top instead. Although it is very different, it would still compliment any outfit perfectly.

I talked about this Dorothy Perkins skirt in my last Budget Bargains post (which you can find here), and I got pretty good feedback on it, so I know that I'm not the only one that loves it. If you read that post, you will know how much I love it, but if you haven't, let me tell you, I really do love it. It's literally one of the most comfortable skirts ever. It is available in three lengths - petite, regular, and tall. Fortunately, this skirt is still in stock, so check the links below for all three fits.

I talked about these heels in one of my Budget Bargains posts (which you can read here). If you love your heels, then you should definitely pick these up. Although the tassels might be slightly ticklish, they definitely give your outfit a bit of a twist. They probably are more of a summery shoe, but because I find that my feet are always slightly warmer when wearing heels compared to flats/trainers, they're still pretty wearable. Again, these heels are still in stock, so check the link below.

And last but not least, this New Look clutch. It's just a cheap clutch that I picked up in the sales, but I have actually got quite a lot of use out of it. Even though it's not an investment piece or one of high quality, it does have quite a classy look about it, and it compliments outfits such as this one rather nicely. Although it's not really visible in this photo, it's a matte black mock croc textured faux leather bag with a gold buckle and chain strap. Well, that was a jumble of words. I found quite a close lookalike from H&M which I have linked below.

Because this Steal My Style outfit was a little dressy, I will follow up with a dressed down Steal My Style post soon using some of the same pieces.
