Billion Dollar Brows Eyebrow Pencil
Eyebrows are one of the most important features of the face. They frame it, compliment your features, and they really make a huge difference. Brows have become a big thing, probably influenced a lot by Instagram and the 'InstaBrow'. Because of the extra attention that eyebrows are now given, you may feel the need for them to always be 'perfect'. The problem is, that usually requires a considerable amount of time, and in a lot of cases, money. Because of all of these different factors, we often end up neglecting our brows. Although I have naturally full brows that I really love, I do still like to sometimes fill them in a bit to make sure that they are always neat. I am aware that unfortunately, many women do not have such fortune.
As I mentioned in my review on the Australian Bodycare Skin Wash which you can find here, the girls at KLM Beauty sent me some goodies to try out in exchange for reviews. This is my second post, and the final one will be up soon. The second product they sent me in exchange for a review was the 'Billion Dollar Brows - Brows on Point Micro Pencil'. I have well and truly tested this, and it has definitely won my approval.
I was a bit sceptical of this pencil at first because I normally use gel. I always envisioned a pencil to leave harsh lines, making it obvious that they were filled in - a far cry from the natural look that I always go for. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this pencil did nothing of the sort, leaving my brows looking so natural and neat. As with most products, you can build the product up for more dramatic brows, if you so desire. This pencil comes in four shades - 'Blonde', 'Light Brown', 'Taupe', and 'Raven'. The shade I was sent was 'Taupe' and it was a perfect match.
I have to admit that when I first tried it, I had no idea what I was doing, and my eyebrows looked as black as tar. I quickly learned that I did not need to apply as much. After removing all evidence of my first failed attempt, I experimented with different strokes, etc. The trick with eyebrow pencils is that you have to create light, hair-like strokes in the natural direction of the hairs. You do not need to go back and forth like you're colouring on paper because trust me, it will not look good. You then brush the product through your brows with the built-in spoolie brush to blend it into your brows. Et voilà!
There are so many good points about this eyebrow pencil that I could talk about, but we'd be here for hours. I have narrowed them down to the things that make or break a deal when it comes to makeup products for me personally. No sharpening is required. With a lot of my lipliners, you have to sharpen them constantly, which really is a pain. With this pencil, it's retractable. You just turn the barrel and begin filling in your brows. Yes, it's that simple! It is also waterproof and smudge-proof, so you don't have to worry about a thing.
There are so many products in the Billion Dollar Brows range that you'll definitely find something for you. If pencils really are not your thing, they offer a variety of pomades, crayons, powders, tints, and gels, as well as handy kits and accessories. I would definitely recommend trying some of them out because Billion Dollar Brows practically guarantees that every day will be a good brow day.
If anyone asked me what eyebrow pencil I would recommend, I would say this one in a heartbeat. It has completely banished all my previous reservations. Although it's in the mid-price range at £20, the quality is definitely exceptional.
